Shirley Lee Minks
Shirley L. Minks of Potosi, Missouri was born Tuesday, February 12, 1946 in Columbia, Missouri a daughter of the late Lavada Malone (Thompson) Malone and James Malone. Shirley departed this life at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, Missouri Tuesday, March 9, 2004 surrounded by the love and companionship of her dear family at the age of Fifty-eight years and twenty-five days.
Shirley is survived by Three daughters; Viola Larue and husband Phillip of Potosi, Missouri, Penny Hodge of St. James, Missouri and Sarah DeClue and Husband Leo of Belgrade, Missouri; three Sisters, Sharon Smith and husband Allen of Cadet, Missouri, Pam Reed and husband Terry of Bonne Terre, Missouri and Rhonda Branham and husband Tommy of DeSoto, Missouri; One Brother Curtis Tucker and wife Rosalie of DeSoto, Missouri; Seven grandchildren, Raymond, Samantha, Chris, Richard, Andrea, Elizabeth and Mellissa; Adopted Mother Rosemary Tucker. In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by one Infant grandchild.
Shirley had a great love for people and was a Certified Nurses Aid for many years. She enjoyed sewing and seamstress work. Shirley worked with many crafts and enjoyed sharing her work with family and friends. She loved to sing and volunteer at the Full Gospel Christian Academy.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle with Reverend Allen Smith officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
