Kenneth Wayne Missey, Sr.
Kenneth Missey, Sr. of Cadet, Missouri was born on Sunday, October 5, 1952 in Old Mines, Missouri the son of the late Henry and Louise M. (Thebeau) Missey. Kenneth departed this life on Monday, June 5, 2006 at his residence having reached the age of fifty-three years and eight months.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Carolyn R. Brown on November 24, 1973 in Old Mines, Missouri.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carolyn R. Missey of Cadet, Missouri; daughter, Misty Lee Miller of Cadet, Missouri; son, Kenneth Wayne Missey, Jr. and wife Ashley of Potosi, Missouri; five brothers, Donald “Bud” Missey and wife Betty of Cadet, Missouri, Michael Missey and wife Bessie of Potosi, Missouri, David Missey of Blackwell, Missouri, Mark Missey and wife Lisa of Cadet, Missouri, Jerry Missey of Cadet, Missouri; four sisters, Ruth Ann Missey and husband Mike of Potosi, Missouri, Debbie Missey of Cadet, Missouri, Linda Reid and husband Joel of Blackwell, Missouri, Barb King and husband Rodney of Farmington, Missouri; three grandchildren, Dillion Miller of Cadet, Missouri, Dakota Miller of Cadet, Missouri, and Kenley Missey of Potosi, Missouri. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry Missey, Jr.
Kenneth enjoyed fishing and hunting deer at Fort Leonard Wood, riding ATV’s and motorcycles. He liked watching C.M.T., playing his guitar and singing. Kenneth enjoyed playing Euchre in his younger years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed their vacations in Branson. Kenneth enjoyed his faith and going to Mass regularly at St. James Catholic Church.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 6, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, June 7, 2006 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri with Father George Galovich officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Danny Inman, Jr., Larry Brown, Jr., Mike Missey, Jr., Del Pratt, Jr., Jeff Murphy and Tom Miles.
Burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
