Louise M. Missey of Old Mines, was born on April 8, 1920 in Old Mines, Missouri. Louise is the daughter of the late Joseph Adrian and Mary Frances (Coleman) Thebeau. Louise departed this life Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Potosi Manor, Potosi, Missouri, having reached the age of eighty-five years and five days.
Louise was united in marriage on February 25, 1941 to Henry Missey in Cadet, Missouri. They were blessed with eleven children.
Louise is survived by four daughters; Ruth Ann Missey and husband Mike of Potosi, Missouri, Debbie Missey of Cadet, Missouri, Linda Reid and husband Joel of Blackwell, Missouri, Barb King and husband Rodney of Farmington, Missouri. Six sons; Donald “Bud” Missey and wife Betty of Cadet, Missouri, Michael Missey and wife Bessie of Potosi, Missouri, Ken Missey and wife Carol of Cadet, Missouri, David Missey of Blackwell, Missouri, Mark Missey and wife Lisa of Cadet, Missouri, Jerry Missey of Cadet, Missouri. Three sister; Theresa Sampson of Cadet, Missouri, Geraldine Anselman and husband Robert of Cadet, Missouri, Rita Kamper and husband Carl. Six brothers; Irvan Tebo and wife Dorothy of Festus, Missouri, James “Stanley” Thebeau and wife Vera of Festus, Missouri, Leonard “Jiggs” Thebeau and wife Irene of Cadet, Missouri, Raymond Thebeau and wife Theresa of Cadet, Missouri, Clifford “Benny” Thebeau and wife Ellen of Cadet, Missouri, Charles Thebeau and wife Blanche of St. Clair, Missouri. Twenty-one grandchildren, Thirty-eight great grandchildren, and also many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Louise was preceded in death by; her husband Henry Missey, a son Henry Missey Jr., two brothers Nicholas E. Thebeau, Ralph Thebeau, one sister Margaret Pruitt.
Louise Missey will long be remembered for the love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, and loved helping the Rural Parish Workers. She enjoyed taking walks, and going anywhere she could with the people she loved. She liked to go dancing, listening to music, and bowling. Louise Missey was a very kind and generous women who enjoyed life.
Visitation was 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, April 15, 2005 and Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Cadet, Missouri.
Burial took place at the St. Joachim Cemetery on Saturday, April 16, 2005 in Cadet, Missouri.
Services were entrusted to the Care and Direction of Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
