Mark Missey, Sr. of Cadet, Missouri was born on Wednesday, August 2, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of the late, Louise M. (Thebeau) Missey and Henry Missey, Sr. Mark departed this life on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of forty-nine years, seven months and six days.
Mark was united in marriage to Lisa Watkins on November 30, 1985 in Fenton, Missouri.
Mark is survived by his wife, Lisa Missey of Cadet, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy Louise Coleman and husband, Chris of DeSoto, Missouri; one son, Mark Anthony Missey, Jr. of Bonne Terre, Missouri; four sisters, Ruth Ann Missey and husband, Mike of Potosi, Missouri, Debbie Missey of Cadet, Missouri, Linda Reid and husband, Joel of Blackwell, Missouri, Barb King and husband, Rodney of Irondale, Missouri; four brothers, Donald “Bud” Missey and wife, Betty of Cadet, Missouri, Michael Missey and wife, Bessie of Potosi, Missouri, David Missey of Blackwell, Missouri, Jerry Missey of Blackwell, Missouri; five grandchildren, Hannah Pratt, Koleby Missey, Ayden Missey, Ethan King and Alyssa Coleman; also surviving are nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Missey, Jr. and Kenny Missey.
Mark attended the Cadet Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time at home, reading his Bible, going to church and driving the church van. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Spending time outdoors going fishing, hunting, gardening and bow hunting with his grandsons. Playing his guitar with family members, collecting antiques, coins and other items of interest were some on his favorite pastimes. Mark will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor John Jones officiating.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
