William Franklin Mitchell, Sr.
William Franklin Mitchell, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri was born on August 29, 1927 in Gumbo, Missouri the son of the late, Gracie (Jones) Mitchell and Frank Mitchell. William departed this life on August 26, 2006 having reached the age of seventy-eight years, eleven months and twenty-eight days.
William was united in marriage to Beulah Lee Choate on December 22, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri.
William is survived by four daughters, Linda Jean Mitchell of Cadet, Missouri, Wilma Pauline Bourisaw and husband Paul of Potosi, Missouri, Wanda Arline Mitchell of Illinois, Shirley Ruth Simpson of Oklahoma; two sons, William Frank Mitchell, Jr. Of Sullivan, Missouri, Ronald David Mitchell of Sullivan, Missouri; two sisters, Enola Faye Winnegar of St. Peters, Missouri, Wilma Ina Ritarossi of Revere, Massachusetts; thirteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beulah Lee Mitchell, daughter, Gracie Marie Mitchell, sister, Bethel McBride, brother, Gene Mitchell, two grandchildren, April Waters, Vanessa Hughes and two great grandchildren, Jase A. Meadows-DeLong and Jeremiah I. Meadows-DeLong.
With the care and love he had for his fellow mankind, Mr. Mitchell requested that his body be donated to science for the advancement of education.
A memorial service is to be scheduled for a later date.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
