Chester Wesley Mosier
Chester Mosier of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on Wednesday, January 10, 1923 in Stony Point, Missouri a son of the late, Francis (DeMier) Mosier and Winfred Mosier. Chester departed this life on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-four years, ten months and fifteen days.
Chester was united in marriage to Beulah Rose Topping in October of 1947 in Bonne Terre, Missouri and this union was blessed with two sons.
Chester is survived by his loving wife, Rosie Mosier of Mineral Point, Missouri; one son, Terry Mosier and wife, Ruby of Mineral Point, Missouri; two sisters, Ruth Thompson of Potosi, Missouri, Juanita Forshee of Leadwood, Missouri; one brother, Lessel Mosier and wife, Carol of Potosi, Missouri; three grandchildren, Terry Jr., Christopher and Michael, one great grandchild, Catherine Rose, also surviving are many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by one son, Verlin Mosier.
Chester loved Mother Nature and spending time in the great outdoors. He enjoyed farming and taking care of his cattle and hogs. Chester loved life and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be very deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, November 26, 2007 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, November 27, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Terry Mosier, Jr., Chris Mosier, Clyde Vandergriff, Roger Vandergriff, Tony Courtois, Larry Mosier and honorary pallbearer, Michael Mosier.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Germania Cemetery, Bonne Terre, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
