Kenneth Richard Moyers
Kenneth” Rick “ Moyers of Caledonia, Missouri passed away Tuesday February 22, 2005, at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of Forty-nine years, seven months and twenty-eight days. Rick was the son of the late Ruby L. (Yount) Moyers and Kenneth William Moyers. Rick was born Friday, June 24, 1955 in Ironton, Missouri.
Rick was united in marriage to Crissy G. Boyer on October 6, 1990 in Potosi, Missouri. They were blessed to have two sons to their union.
Rick is survived by his loving and devoted Wife Crissy Moyers of Caledonia, Missouri; one Daughter Jessica N. Moyers of Fayette, Missouri and Fiancé David Gwyn of St. Louis, Missouri; Two Sons, Richard W. Moyers and Kyle A. Moyers both of Caledonia, Missouri; two Step Daughters Ann Erusha and Husband Rob of St. Louis, Missouri, Rose Viau and Husband John of Maryville, Missouri; one Step Son Rich Villmer and wife Theresa of Jefferson City, Missouri; two Sisters Vickie L. Worthen and Husband Tom of Potosi, Missouri, and Janet R. Phares of Caledonia, Missouri; eight Step Grandchildren; Mother-in-law, Judy Boyer of Desloge, Missouri; Father-in-law, Roger Boyer of Bismarck, Missouri; Sister-in-law, Andrea Barton and Husband Scott of Cadet, Missouri; five Nephews, Eric Phares, Rob Worthen, Wade Phares, Tyler Barton and Hunter Barton; his first Wife Rose Moyers of Potosi, Missouri; and by many other friends and relatives.
Rick was employed by the Washington County Ambulance District from April 1, 1987 to October 24, 2001 and by the Washington County Memorial Hospital.
Rick had a great love for people and was dedicated to them by his service with the ambulance and hospital. He was always ready to help anyone in need when asked to do so.
Rick enjoyed riding his dirt bike and working on all types of lawn mowers. He loved to spend time in the out of doors hunting and fishing. Rick would relax using his computer or playing all types of card games.
Rick had a great love for his children and entire family, he was always ready to host or go to a family gathering. He cherished the trips to watch his son’s ballgames.
Rick was a remarkable person, not only for his love for people, but for the intensity and clarity of focus with which he lived his life. He will always be remembered for the love he shared.
Visitation was held Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, February 25, 2005 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Service was held Friday, February 25, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend Lawrence Kennon officiating. Music played for the service was “Take Me Home Country Roads”, “One Friend” and “How Great Thou Art”.
Final Prayers and Burial was held Friday, February 25, 2005 at 12:15 PM at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Eric Phares, Robert Worthen, Wade Phares, Rich Villmer, Mal Gum, Scott Barton, Travis Wilkinson and Gale Wells.
In Honor and Thanks to Rick’s service and commitment to the Washington County Ambulance District, the District Provided an Escort Service to the Cemetery with an Advanced Life Support Vehicle and the District Administration car.
