Stella Bernice Mueller of Potosi, Missouri was born on Saturday, August 23, 1930 in Cadet, Missouri a daughter of the late, Harriette Maggie Courtois and George Levi Courtois. Bernice departed this life on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at her residence having reached the age of eighty-two years, two months and twelve days.
Bernice was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” William Mueller on April 13, 1963 in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Bernice is survived by one daughter, Sharon “Dee Dee” Estes and husband, John of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Margie Rolling of Old Mines, Missouri; two grandchildren, Beth Hamilton and husband, Steve, Glen David “G.D.” Nickelson and special friend, Ashlee; two step-grandchildren, Laurie Estes, Aaron Estes and wife, Angie; twelve great-grandchildren, Isack, Sophia, Caleb, Landon, Colton, Emily, Megan, Hannah, Ashlynn, Serinity, Haylee, Hunter; also surviving are family friends, Ruth and David Reece and their children, Megean, Chastity and Hunter and special niece, Kathy Phares, nephew, Terry Galster and sister-in-law Wanda Courtway. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Mueller, two sisters, Virginia Rulo, Gladys Nickelson, four brothers, Homer Courtway, Eddie Courtway, Oscar Courtway, Marvin Courtway and one great-grandson, Blake Hamilton.
Bernice enjoyed crocheting, making ceramics, doing puzzles and watching Christmas movies anytime of the year. She loved her DVD, CD recorder and spending time with her family and friends. She loved the many gifts of Mother Nature and in her younger years, Bernice enjoyed camping. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Deacon Mike Burch officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Garden, Potosi, Missouri. Honoring the Memory of Bernice, serving as Pallbearers were: Glen “GD” Nickelson, Jr., Steve Hamilton, John Estes, Terry Estes, David Reece, Wesley Hutton and Glen Nickelson, Sr.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction to the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
