Daniel “Knuckles” Nesbit



Daniel “Knuckles” Nesbit of Potosi, Missouri was born on August 28, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri a son of the late, Eula May (Jackson) Nesbit and Robert Nesbit. “Knuckles” departed this life on July 29, 2008 at his residence having reached the age of sixty-six years, eleven months and one day.

Daniel is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Ann Nesbit of Alabama; four sons, Rickie Lee Nesbit of Alabama, Donald Ray Nesbit of Alabama, Robert Edwin Nesbit of Alabama, Shawn Nesbit of Alabama; two sisters, Dorothy Gann of Desloge, Missouri, Carol Ann Marler and husband, Paul of Iron Mountain Lake, Missouri; one brother, Joseph Nesbit of Warrensburg, Missouri; also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, “Knuckles” was preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Hutchison, Cora Atchison and Mary Lutes, two brothers, Lloyd Nesbit and Robert Nesbit.

“Knuckles” loved to listen to music, dance and play chess. He was a past member of the Elk’s Lodge # 2218. “Knuckles” also loved to draw years ago. He enjoyed spending time visiting and being with all of his family and friends. “Knuckles” always had a smile on his face a kind word to pass on and always ready to set and listen to anyone that needed him.

Visitation was held Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, August 4, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Brother Earnest Gann, Jr. officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Rickie Lee Nesbit, Robert Edwin Nesbit, Shawn Estes Nesbit, Donald Ray Nesbit, Robert Morries and Phillip Galster.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
