Rev. Wendell Austin Nipper of Potosi, Missouri was born September 9, 1940 in Palmer, Missouri a son to the late Claude Nipper and Lula Lee (Beers) Nipper. Rev. Wendell departed this life Friday, August 7, 2020 having reached the age of 79 years, 10 months and 29 days.
On June 18, 1960, Rev. Wendell was united in marriage to Bonnie (Andrews) Nipper and they were blessed with sixty wonderful years together.
Rev. Wendell is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; loving sons and daughter, Dennis Nipper and wife Susan of Escalon, California, Bruce Nipper and wife Kim of Alton, Illinois, Tina Pickett and husband Matt of Potosi, Missouri, Jason Nipper and wife Julia of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Donna Warden and husband Paul of Potosi, Missouri; ten grandchildren: Brandon, Kristie, Andrew, Jessica, Brittney, Wendy, Haley, Dominic, Macy, Kendrick; four great grandchildren: Ian, Madalyn, Avery, Francesca and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Rev. Wendell was preceded in death by five sisters: Dorothy Baldridge, Jewel Akers, Genevie Yount, Reva Nipper, Marie Nipper; two brothers, Bob Nipper and Linton Nipper.
Rev. Wendell was a warrior of God and a friend to everyone in the community. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church, served as pastor for the Belgrade Pentecostal Church of God from 1989-2009 and served as Trustee for the Palmer Church. He owned and operated Razor’s Edge Barber Shop from 1970-2019 while also serving on the Pam Dudley Center Board for over thirty years. He loved his friends and family and did all of his work from his heart. His solid example of faith, love and kindness will be greatly missed.
