JACKIE J. NIXON OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 1938 IN LEADWOOD, MISSOURI A DAUGHTER OF LEASY A. (STOREY) YARBROUGH. JACKIE DIED WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26, 2000 AT THE AGE OF SIXTY-ONE YEARS, FIVE MONTHS AND SEVENTEEN DAYS.
JACKIE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO RAYMOND NIXON ON AUGUST 2, 1958 IN IRONDALE, MISSOURI, THEY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE ONE DAUGHTER AND TWO SONS BORN TO THE UNION.
JACKIE IS SURVIVED BY HER LOVING AND DEVOTED HUSBAND OF FORTY- ONE YEARS, RAYMOND NIXON OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; HER MOTHER, LEASY YARBROUGH OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; ONE DAUGHTER, LISA PARKS AND HUSBAND GREG OF FARMINGTON, MISSOURI; TWO SONS, TERRY NIXON AND WIFE JUDY OF DAVENPORT, IOWA, TIMOTHY NIXON OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, ALEX AND CHAD NIXON OF DAVENPORT, IOWA, SARA, ERIN AND ADAM PARKS OF FARMINGTON, MISSOURI AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
JACKIE WAS A KIND AND LOVING DAUGHTER ALWAYS DEDICATING TIME TO CARE FOR HER MOTHER. SHE ENJOYED GARDENING, YARD WORK AND TAKING SPECIAL TIME TO CARE FOR HER MANY ANTIQUES.
JACKIE HAD A VERY DEAR PLACE IN HER HEART FOR HER FAMILY, HER GRANDCHILDREN WERE THE SPARKLE IN HER EYE, SHE LOVED EVERY MINUTE SHE SHARED WITH THEM.
JACKIE HAD MADE MANY FRIENDS DURING HER WALK OF LIFE, MAYBE AT AN AUCTION, MAYBE MEETING YOU ON THE STREET, MAYBE SHE BECAME SPECIAL IN YOUR LIFE, THESE TIMES HAVE NOW BECAME THE MEMORIES OF THIS GREAT WOMAN, TO BE CHERISHED BY ALL.
VISITATION WA HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED FRIDAY, APRIL 28, 2000, AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH REVEREND LOU BARTON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ST. FRANCOIS MEMORIAL PARK, BONNE TERRE, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, MIKE STOREY, DAVID WALKER, GREG PARKS, BOB NIXON, ESPIN LAWSON AND GARY MCKELVEY.
