Janice Lorene O’Connell

Janice O’Connell of Farmington, Missouri formerly of Potosi, Missouri was born on November 11, 1940 in Aptus, Missouri a daughter of the late, Lucille (Pittman) Berry-Sanders and Herbert Berry. Janice departed this life on November 2, 2008 at the St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-seven years, eleven months and twenty-two days.

Janice was united in marriage to Paul Neely on January 27, 1962. She was later married to Joseph O’Connell on November 26, 1988.

Janice is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Larson and husband, Stan of Kansas City, Missouri, Brenda Cover of Magnolia, Texas; three brothers, Marvin Berry of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Claude Berry and wife, Brenda of Potosi, Missouri, Denver Berry and wife, Trish of Warsaw, Kentucky; also surviving are nieces, nephews, her first husband, Paul Neely, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her second husband, Joseph O’Connell and one infant brother, John Delbert Berry.

Janice enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, crafts, painting pictures and decorating her home. All of Janice’s loved ones would refer to her as “Janice-of-all-Trades” as she was always doing home repairs, painting and wallpapering. She was always ready to tackle any chore and would never give up on any project. Janice will be lovingly remembered as a very independent lady with a strong determination and a great love for all mankind.

Memorial Visitation was held Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Memorial Service was held Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 8:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
