Alta Mae (Hedrick) Parks of Belgrade, Missouri was born January 3, 1945 in Bixby, Missouri a daughter to the late Claude Hedrick and Hester E. (Medley) Hedrick. Alta departed this life Saturday, September 4, 2021 having reached the age of 76 years, 8 months and 1 day.
On June 15, 1962, Alta was united in marriage to the late Curtis “Ulen” Parks and they shared many wonderful years and memories together. Ulen preceded Alta in death on January 20, 1991.
Alta is survived by her sons, Timothy Keith and wife Peggy of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, Curtis Parks, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri, Christopher “Chris” Parks and wife Gwen of Belgrade, Missouri; daughter, Tammy Dickey and friend Bruce of Farmington, Missouri; brother, Steve Hedrick and wife Linda of East End, Missouri; sister, Glenda Hedrick and cousin Everett Hedrick; grandchildren, Jason Dickey and friend Candace, Jacob Parks and wife Jesmine, Jarod Wirtz, Tonia Wirtz, Tiffani Wirtz and friend Misty, John Parks and wife Courtney, Justin Parks and friend Carrie Hall, Christopher Parks, Jr. Tyler Parks and friend Sidney, Holly Lawson and Husband Abe, Ethan Parks, Eli Parks and friend Amber Eberis, Jessica Keith and fiancé Jarod, Ryan Keith and wife Anne; great grandchildren, Tionna Wirtz, Tristian and Megan Keith, Johnny Parks, Hadley and Max Parks , Makenna and Hudson Dickey, Tommy and Gabby Keith, Fisher and Elie Parks, Layla Parks, Annabelle and Madilyn Lawson and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Alta was preceded in death by her brothers, Cletus and Cleo Hedrick; sister, Dormalee Hedrick-Null; sisters – in-law, Shirley Mayfeild –Hedrick, June Hedrick; brother-in-law, Virgil Null; grandchildren, Jeffery Parks, Jerimiah Dickey and in-laws, Hurin and Effie Lee Parks.
Alta devoted her life to Christ at a young age and always shared his teaching with those she met. She always took the time to help her family and friends and could accomplish anything she set her mind to. She will be greatly missed by those she loved and her memory will never be forgotten.
