ANNA PASHIA, "MS. ANNIE" OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT RACOLA, MISSOURI ON NOVEMBER 27, 1911. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE BEN AND DORA (BOURISAW) ROBART. ANNA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE POTOSI MANOR NURSING HOME IN POTOSI, MISSOURI ON APRIL 28, 2001 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY NINE YEARS, FIVE MONTHS, AND ONE DAY.
MS. ANNIE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO LAWRENCE PASHIA ON OCTOBER 6, 1936 IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI AT THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH. MR. PASHIA PRECEDED MS. ANNIE IN DEATH ON OCTOBER 9, 1985.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY FIVE SONS; LARRY PASHIA AND WIFE MARY ANN OF HAZELWOOD, MISSOURI, PAUL PASHIA AND WIFE YVONNE OF SIERRA VISTA, ARIZONA, FRAN PASHIA AND WIFE VIRGINA OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI, JOHN PASHIA AND WIFE JULIA OF PEVELY, MISSOURI, AND JAMES PASHIA AND WIFE MARY BETH OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, THREE DAUGHTERS; MONICA PASHIA OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI, MARY NORBUT OF BLUFORD, ILLINOIS, AND THERESA MISSEY AND HUSBAND ROGER OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY THIRTY TWO GRANDCHILDREN AND TWENTY EIGHT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND HUSBAND, SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON; VINCENT PASHIA AND ONE GRAND DAUGHTER, MARTINA PASHIA. TWO SISTERS; MATTIE MCMULLAN AND IRENE COLEMAN, TWO BROTHERS; PAUL AND JOE ROBART.
MS. ANNIE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER CHURCH AND HER LORD AND WAS A LIFE LONG MEMBER OF THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH. SHE WAS ACTIVE IN THE CHURCH CHOIR, ST. ANN'S SODALITY AND A EUCHARISTIC MINISTER. SHE ENJOYED SPENDING TIME WITH HER COMMUNITY AND IT'S HERITAGE AND WAS A CHARTER MEMBER OF THE OLD MINES HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
MS. ANNIE ENJOYED BAKING AND COOKING FOR HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SHE WAS ALWAYS PROUD OF HER FLOWER'S TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN CANNING THE RESULTS OF HER TALENTS.
MS. ANNIE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER MANY FAMILY MEMBERS, EACH OF THEM HELD A VERY SPECIAL PLACE IN HER HEART.
VISITATION WAS HELD TUESDAY, MAY 1, 2001, FROM 1:30 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI. PRAYER SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED TUESDAY EVENING AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL.
A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED WEDNESDAY, MAY 2, 2001, AT 11:00 A.M. AT ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH WITH FATHER TED PIEPER AND FATHER ROBERT JOHNSTON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ST. JOACHIM CEMETERY, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, TIM PASHIA, MARK PASHIA, DALE MISSEY, TOM NORBUT, JOHN F. PASHIA, DAVID PASHIA, JIM PASHIA AND STEVE PASHIA, SERVING AS HONORARY PALLBEARERS WERE, MICHAEL PASHIA AND ANTHONY PASHIA.
