Mary Lee Pashia
Mary Pashia of Pevely, Missouri formerly of Cadet, Missouri was born on Friday, January 4, 1935 in Cadet, Missouri a daughter of Howard DeGonia and the late, Esther (Cook) DeGonia. Mary departed this life on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-five years, six months and seventeen days.
Mary is survived by, two daughters, Mary Jo Hopkins of House Springs, Missouri, Brenda Droege of House Springs, Missouri; three sons, Joseph Lee Pashia and wife, Jeannie of Esbon, Kansas, Phillip Pashia and wife, Jennifer of Cadet, Missouri, Stephen Pashia and wife, Cherry of Bellevue, Nebraska; father, Howard DeGonia of Bonne Terre, Missouri; one sister, Joanne Hahn and husband, Bob of Cadet, Missouri; one brother, H. Kenny DeGonia and wife, Ronda of Cadet, Missouri; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Sister Yvonne DeGonia C.C.V.I. and Carol Du.
Mary was a devoted Catholic and attended the St. Joachim Catholic Church for many years and was always helping the Rural Parish Workers
Mary enjoyed playing cards, winning at bingo, telling family stories from the many picture albums she kept and was always thankful for a good meal. Mary loved her family and spending time with them always brought her great joy. She will be forever remembered for the love she shared.
Visitation was held Friday, July 23, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were Dave Kerner, Derrick Crews, Josh Heimburger, John Roberts, Michael Nickelson and David Keiselhorst.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri.
All memorials are to be given to the Rural Parish Workers or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
