Rita Jane Politte (Thebeau)

Rita Jane Politte of Old Mines was born March 7, 1940 in Cadet, Missouri a daughter to the late Neil Zeno Thebeau and Helen Marie (Mercille) Thebeau. Rita departed this life Monday, February 21, 2022 having reached the age of 81 years, 11 months and 14 days.
On December 26, 1957, Rita was united in marriage to the late Victor P. Politte and together they happily raised their children and shared many memories.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Marti Morgan and husband David of Mineral Point; sons, Randy Politte and wife Diane of Cadet, Brian Politte and wife Stacy of Cadet; sister, Catherine “Cat” Dickey of Potosi; brother, Bernard Thebeau and wife Gloria of Annapolis, Neil Thebeau of Cadet; grandchildren Jennifer, Amanda, Meg, Stephanie, Kimberly, Emily, Alex, Bo; great grandchildren, Surina, Zoe, Lukas, Addyson, Tyler, Raelan, Drew, Kaiden, Xander, Laynie Kate and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear and special friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Rita was preceded in death by her son, Dale Politte; sister, Mary Thebeau and brother, George Thebeau.
Rita was a follower of Christ and a lifelong member of St. Joachim Catholic Church. She had a loving and giving heart and that love extended into her daily work. Taking care of others was her top priority. She loved to read and spend time outdoors, meticulously maintaining her lawn. She loved to be with her friends and family and was always ready to go on a trip. She was the number one fan of Pepsi and had many collectables. She never let anything get in her way and her solid example of faith and her love will be greatly missed.
