Dale “Hoss” Timothy Pratt
Dale “Hoss” Pratt of Old Mines, Missouri was born on Saturday, December 23, 1950 in Bonne Terre, Missouri and departed this life on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his residence having reached the age of fifty-eight years, nine months and twenty-nine days.
Dale was united in marriage to Mary Ann Politte on April 11, 1970 in Old Mines, Missouri at St. Joachim Catholic Church.
Dale is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Ann Pratt of Old Mines, Missouri; two daughters, Erin Elizabeth Wild and husband, Trevor of St. Clair, Missouri, Victoria “Vicki” Thurmond and husband, Mike of Cadet, Missouri; three sons, Timothy Pratt of Old Mines, Missouri, Paul Francis Pratt and wife, Melissa of Sikeston, Missouri, Scott Michael Pratt and wife, Rachel of Park Hills, Missouri; mother, Opal Irene (Senciboy) Pratt of Potosi, Missouri; four sisters, Freda Boyer-Pratt of Old Mines, Missouri, Anne Brady and husband, Edof Shiloh, Illinois, Mary Tinker and husband, Mark of Doe Run, Missouri, Dorothy Hahlweg and husband, Larry of Irondale, Missouri; one brother, Wayne Pratt and wife, Sheila of Fenton, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Katie, Andrew and Marisa Thurmond, Trevor, Elizabeth, Caleb, Mary Grace and Rebecca Wild, Devin, Ashlynn and Jonathan Pratt and Kaden Pratt; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Roy Timothy Pratt, two brothers, Francis P. Pratt and David G. Pratt.
Dale was a parishioner of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri. He was 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Dale or as many of his family and friends knew him “Hoss” was a very generous man who enjoyed helping others and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends. “Hoss” will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.
A Celebration of life Visitation was held Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday, October 26, 2009 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was Celebrated on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Honoring Dale by serving as pallbearers were: Mike Thurmond, Scott Pratt, Andrew Thurmond, TJ Wild, Trevor Wild, David Boyer, Nick Hahlweg, Justin Brady, Brian Pratt and David Pratt.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri.
The members of the Knights of Columbus, following the services on Monday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Old Mines, Missouri, provided a fellowship luncheon.
Services Were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark St., Potosi, Missouri.
