Edna Jean McConnell Pratt
Edna Jean McConnell Pratt of Potosi, Missouri was born on November 4, 1912 in Butts, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Frank Wigger and Lily (Doss) Wigger. Edna departed this life on August 2, 2005 at Georgian Gardens in Potosi, Missouri, having reached the age ninety-two years, eights months, and twenty-nine days.
Edna was united in marriage to Charles J. McConnell on August 30, 1929, after his death on June 19, 1977 Edna was united in marriage to Charles J. Pratt on August 1, 1981, Charles J. Pratt departed this life on November 20, 1995.
Edna is survived by two daughters; Norma Ruth Walton of Potosi, Missouri, Charline Pind and husband Carl of Hillsboro, Missouri, one son; Clarence C. “Duke” McConnell and wife Elizabeth of Salem, Missouri, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, ten step daughters; Lucy Kordonwy of Viburnum, Missouri, Sarah Roberts and husband Kenneth of Troy, Illinois, Deloris DeClue and husband Joe of Potosi, Missouri, Jane Rivera of St. Louis, Missouri, Becky Rogers and husband Jerry of Texas, Maggie Shellabarger and husband Carl of Potosi, Missouri, Mary Gasser of St. Louis, Missouri, Paula Pace and husband Ken of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Jackie Daugherty and husband John of St. Clair, Missouri, Leslie Evers and husband Larry of St. Clair, Missouri, three step sons; Michael Pratt and wife Pat of Viburnum, Missouri, Robert Pratt and wife Marie of Dittmer, Missouri, David Pratt and wife Monica of Cadet, Missouri, also numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Edna was preceded in death by one daughter; Mary Ellen McConnell, two sons; Pat “P.L.” McConnell and William Charles McConnell, one sister; Florence McConnell, five brothers; Clarence Wigger, Harry Wigger, Carrick Wigger, Arthur Wigger, Clyde Wigger, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one step son; Charles Pratt.
Edna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Potosi. She enjoyed going to the Sayer Senior Center and spending time with all of her friends. Edna loved reading especially her Bible, and watching “Little House on the Praire” or “Texas Ranger.”

Visitation was Wednesday, August 3, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, August 4, 2005 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Service was Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Jeff Richards and Reverend John Edwards officiating.
Burial took place at the Fairview Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.
Services were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
