Mary Ernestine Ray of Irondale, Missouri was born on Tuesday, August 2, 1921 in Irondale, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Nichols and Mary (Rogers) Nichols. Mary departed this life at Georgian Gardens Nursing Home in Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-four years, two months and twenty-one days.
Mary is survived by her husband, Alfred Ray of Irondale, Missouri, two daughters, Mary McComb of Jackson, Wyoming, Judy Thurman and husband Luther of Irondale, Missouri, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary enjoyed going camping and being in the outdoors. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. Mary will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, October 27, 2005 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
Funeral Service was held Friday, October 28, 2005 at 10:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel in Irondale, Missouri with Reverend Bruce Torrence officiating. Serving as pallbearers was Luther Thurman, David Thurman, Allen Thurman and Chad Purrier.
Burial took place at the Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 104 Oak Street, Irondale, Missouri.
