Virginia Reando
Virginia Reando of Old Mines, Missouri was born May 21, 1925 in Fertile, Missouri a daughter of the late Ida (Missey) Sansoucie and Joseph Sansoucie. Virginia was received by the angels of Heaven June 2, 2004 at her home in Old Mines, Missouri. Virginia was Seventy-nine Years and Twelve Days of age.
Virginia was united in marriage to Walter Reando February 28, 1948 in Potosi, Missouri. They were blessed to have seven children born to the union.
Virginia is survived by her Four loving and devoted daughters, Donna Courtois and husband Jimmy of Lilbourn, Missouri, Barbara Christopher and husband David of Blackwell, Missouri, Sheila Heddy and husband William “Smokey” of Cadet, Missouri and Tammy Smith and husband Lewis of Cadet, Missouri; Three caring and dedicated sons, Donald Reando of Potosi, Missouri, Kenneth Reando and wife Ella of Cadet, Missouri and Tommy Reando and wife Marty of Potosi, Missouri; One Sister, Clara Bone and husband Virgil of Cadet, Missouri; Nine Grandchildren; One Step Grandchild; Twelve Great Grandchildren; a dear and special Sister-in-law, Alma Aubuchon of Cadet, Missouri; special neighbors, Celeste and Junior Bone of Cadet, Missouri; special Nephew Mike Bone of Potosi, Missouri and by many other Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Walter Reando, One sister, Ethel Pinson, One brother, Walter Sansoucie and One Grandson, Kenneth “Womper” Reando.
Virginia was a long time member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Society and supported the efforts of the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Virginia had a great love for her family, she enjoyed their daily visits and loved when the grandchildren would stay to play. She enjoyed visiting with her many friends on the phone. She enjoyed the outdoors and would always pitch a game of horseshoes. She always welcomed a Lottery scratch off ticket and knew it would be a winner or take some time playing a slot machine. Everyone knew to give her a call when the medical problems would arise, she had the medical encyclopedia handy to give the right answers and cures.
Visitation was held Thursday, June 3, 2004 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, June 4, 2004 from 9:00 AM to 11:40 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Prayer services were held Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 6:30 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Miss Natalie Villmer leading. Musical selections played were “Through the Years” and “Wind Beneath My Wings”.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 12 Noon, Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Saint Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper Celebrating. Music was provided by the Church Choir.
Final prayers and burial was in the Saint Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were David Christopher, Kenny Reando, Lewis Smith, William Heddy, Jason Heddy, D.J. Courtois, Kyle Smith and Chad Smith. Honorary Pallbearers were Jimmy Courtois, Donnie Reando, Tommy Reando and Mike Bone.
Services were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
