Martha Ellen Renshaw of Irondale, Missouri was born on Thursday, October 9, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri a daughter of the late, Margie Elizabeth (Clinton) Renshaw and John T. Renshaw. Martha departed this life on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the age of sixty-four years and thirteen days.
Martha is survived by seven daughters, Tressie White of Pacific, Missouri, Martie Williamson and husband, Chris of New Prague, Minnesota, Briana Dunn of Leadwood, Missouri, Holly Underwood and husband, Jason of Park Hills, Missouri, Alicia Renshaw of Irondale, Missouri, Chandra Renshaw of Leadwood, Missouri, Kristen Renshaw of Irondale, Missouri; two sons, John Parks and wife, Emmie of Irondale, Missouri, John Renshaw, Jr. of Irondale, Missouri; one sister, Midge Forshee and husband, Michael of Spring Hill, Tennessee; four brothers, Fred Renshaw and wife, Carol of Farmington, Missouri, John Renshaw and wife, Lori of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Gary Renshaw and wife, Sue of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Dan Renshaw of Irondale, Missouri; thirty-three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by two infant daughters, two infant sons, one brother, Vernon Renshaw, many sisters and two grandchildren.
Martha’s greatest joy was her family and spending time with her grandchildren, where she was known as “Gobby” by the kids. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Martha loved to listen to music especially, 50’s, 60’s, country and old time rock and roll. She was a very generous woman who would help anyone she could.
Visitation was held Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM the Moore Memorial Chapel, Irondale, Missouri.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Layne Cemetery, Park Hills, Missouri. Pallbearers were John Parks, Sr., Cody House, Josh Meyers, John Renshaw, Eric Dunn, Tyler Dunn, Richard Boyer and Daemien Seward.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 104 Oak Street, Irondale, Missouri.
