Lillie Mae Richeson
Lillie Richeson of Potosi, Missouri was born on Saturday, May 23, 1925 in Potosi, Missouri a daughter of the late, Virgie (Richards) Summers and Lee Summers. Lillie departed this life on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-four years, seven months and eighteen days.
Lillie was united in marriage to Paul Joe Richeson on March 15, 1947 in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Lillie is survived by one son, John Paul Richeson of Ash Flat, Arkansas; one grandson, Justin Richeson of California; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by seven sisters, Gladys Negim, Virginia Jarvis, Freda Foss, twins, Ruby and Ruth Summers, Margaret Ann Crawford and Madeline Will.
Lillie was a fifty-five year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Browne Chapter # 328. She enjoyed baking, quilting, shopping and playing cards. Lillie was awarded woman of the year for the state of Arkansas. Lillie loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for fund raising and helping her community, especially the gazebo at the city park in Hardy, Arkansas and the police station.
Visitation was held Friday, January 15, 2010 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, January 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Stan Jagow officiating.
Final Prayers and burial took place in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Honoring Lillie by serving as pallbearers were: Bob Richeson, Kelly Skaggs, Steve Skaggs, George Richards and John Owen Richeson.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
