Robert Louis Hayes

     Robert Louis Hayes, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2023. He was a man of many passions and touched the lives of those around him with his kindness and loving nature. Born in Richwoods, Missouri on December 31, 1955 he was the son of the late Louis Hayes and Eva Geraldine (Ramey) Hayes. Robert brought joy to the world through his vibrant personality and zest for life.

     Robert is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Hayes, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Their bond was one of unwavering commitment and utmost respect. The memories they shared will forever hold a special place in Shelia's heart.

     In addition to his wife, Robert leaves behind two sons: Thomas Hayes and wife Sondra and Burton Hayes and wife Kristen. These extraordinary individuals carry their father's legacy of love and kindness within them. Robert's memory will live on through his grandchildren. Bryan, Carlea, Maggie, Thomas, Willow, Gabe, Natalie, Levi, and Arianna were the apples of his eye. He cherished every moment spent with them and showered them with affection. His grandchildren will forever carry the wisdom and love bestowed upon them by their beloved grandfather.

     One of Robert's greatest joys was attending car and truck shows. His eyes would light up as he admired the sleek design and powerful engines. It was at these events that he truly felt alive, surrounded by fellow enthusiasts who shared his love for automobiles. Robert's presence at the shows will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Busy as he may have been, Robert always made time for his family. Whether it was watching TV together or simply being in each other's company, he cherished those moments spent with loved ones. Robert's warm smile and caring nature made every gathering a memorable one. He was always there to provide support and guidance whenever it was needed. Being on the road brought Robert a sense of freedom and adventure. Exploring new places filled him with an indescribable joy. His love for travel connected him to different cultures and broadened his perspective on life. Through his journeys, Robert found solace and inspiration to seize every opportunity that came his way.

     Robert was preceded in death by two sons: Mitchel Hayes and Mathew Hayes, who left this world too soon. Robert's sisters Sharon Witt and Nancy Gloriod also preceded him in death.

     To all who had the privilege of knowing Robert, he will be remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest. His kind and caring nature touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on the world around him.
