Patience Helena Robinson
Patience Helena Robinson of Potosi, Missouri was born on Saturday, June 26, 1920 in Potosi, Missouri the daughter of the late James W. Johnson and Belle Edith (Ellis) Johnson. Patience departed this life on Friday, September 1, 2006 at the Potosi Manor in Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-six years, two months and six days.
Patience was united in marriage to Frederick “Fred” A. Robinson on March 25, 1938 in Potosi, Missouri and to this union they were blessed with three children.
Patience is survived by daughter, Gloria Hooper of Portsmouth, Virginia; son, Fred Robinson and wife Kathy of Guam; sister, Rose Gray of Potosi, Missouri; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, also surviving is dear and special friend, Judy “Blondie” Hill of Park Hills, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Dimple Johnson and Lillian Johnson. Patience was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Carmen McGuire, three sisters, Barbara Jennings, Zelma Casey, Gloria Cherry, two brothers, Marvin Johnson and Louis Johnson.
Patience was a volunteer at the Military Hospital in Guam. She loved flowers and her home, which she made into a castle. Most of all Patience loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Patience was a remarkable person, who was blessed with the gifts of; joy, kindness, goodness, peace and especially love for all mankind. She was a true blessing to all who were privileged to know her and she touched those close to her warm heart.
Visitation was held Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Jerry Compton officiating.
Serving as Pallbearers were; Kevin Robinson, Taylor Robinson, James Brown, James Johnson, Steven Walton and Marvin Johnson Jr.
Final prayers and burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
