Anna Marie Roy of Potosi, Missouri was born on Sunday, September 24, 1922 in Potosi, Missouri a daughter of the late, Mary Pearl (DeClue) Pashia and Joseph Rolla Pashia. Anna Marie departed this life on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-five years and twenty days.

Anna Marie was united in marriage to Thomas Edison Roy on April 7, 1945 in Old Mines, Missouri.

Anna Marie is survived by five daughters, Janice Heifner and husband, Bill of Cadet, Missouri, Pat Bone and husband, Bob of Farmington, Missouri, Sue Yost and husband, Mike of Swansea, Illinois, Carol Brewer and husband, Lonnie of DeSoto, Missouri, Nancy Dickey and husband, Tim of Cadet, Missouri; five sons, Tom J. Roy and wife, Pattie of Potosi, Missouri, Joe “Ike” Roy and wife, Judy of Potosi, Missouri, Stanley Roy and wife, Mary of Park Hills, Missouri, Edward Roy and wife, Patty of Potosi, Missouri, Tim Roy and wife, Peggy of DeSoto, Missouri; three sisters, Arlene Boyer and husband, Arthur of Cadet, Missouri, Helen Brewer of Potosi, Missouri, Cecelia Harrelson and husband, Richard of Arnold, Missouri; three brothers, Donald Pashia of Potosi, Missouri, Edward Bernard Pashia and wife, Linda of Potosi, Missouri, Oscar “Bob” Pashia and wife, Dorothy of Potosi, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas Roy and four brothers, James “Jack” Pashia, Ralph Pashia, Howard Pashia and Joe Pashia.

Anna Marie was a very faithful longtime member the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her family, especially her grandchildren. Anna Marie loved to cook for big family gatherings at the Roy Farm and attend pie suppers with her husband. In her spare time she enjoyed relaxing doing crossword puzzles and watching baseball.

Visitation was held Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri with Father George Galovich officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Jamie Roy, Gabriel Sitzes, Michael Heifner, Matthew Brewer, Rodney Bone and Alex Roy.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
