William Roy

William Gene Roy of Potosi, Missouri was born on Tuesday, November 16, 1982 in Farmington, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, September 8, 2013 having reached the age of thirty years, nine months and twenty-three days.

William is survived by his father and stepmother, Stanley and Mary Roy of Park Hills, Missouri; one brother, Charles Danny Missey and fiancée, Jennifer Blunt of Potosi, Missouri; one stepbrother, Sammy Strauser of Potosi, Missouri; two stepsisters, Amy Strauser of Potosi, Missouri; Peggy Hicks and husband, William of Potosi, Missouri; one niece, Annabelle and two nephews, Eli and Oliver all of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and friends. William was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Ann (Missey) Roy.

William was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Rams fan. He enjoyed riding his bike everywhere he went and playing video games. William also loved to cut grass on work on lawn mowers. He was a very simple, loving man who will be missed by his family and friends.

Visitation was held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Thursday, September 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Keith King and Reverend Ardell Gray officiating.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Courtois Cemetery, Berryman, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Ed Roy, Tim Roy, Bill DeClue, Jared Eckhoff, Jason Eckhoff, Josh Hutson and Tom Roy.
