Danny Phillip Rulo. Sr.

Danny Phillip Rulo, Sr. of Cadet was born December 14, 1947 in Cadet, Missouri, a son to the late Milford Bud Rulo and Virginia Elizabeth (Courtway) Rulo. Danny departed this life Thursday, March 24, 2022 having reached the age of 74 years, 3 months and 10 days.
On October 22, 1966, Danny was united in marriage to Jo Ann (Knichel) Rulo and together they raised their children and shared 55 loving years.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann; sons, Danny Rulo, Jr and fiancé Tammy Hornsey, Mickey Rulo and wife Emily; daughters, Tammy Downs and husband Robbie, Tina Rulo; sister, Mac Price and husband Roger; grandchildren, Danny Rulo III and fiancé Michelle Johnson, Teejay Crawford and fiancé Taylor Tuning, Sydney Crawford, Jeffrey Downs and fiancé Page Johnson, Brandy Brown and husband Aaron, Jaylynn Rulo and Timmy Nash, Ally Rulo, Jeremy Thurmond, Abbie Thurmond; great grandchildren, Clinton Nash, Jahyci and Jaida Jackson, Ellie Rulo, Mattie Downs, Ella Mills, Kiera Mills and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and special fur babies, Dolly and Miley Rulo.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Rulo; sisters, Judy Shepard, Diane Bequette; brother, Ray Rulo; brother- in-law, Jack Knichel, Sr.; nephews, Jack Knichel, Jr., Dean Knichel, neice; Rose Knichel; mother and father –in –law, Rosemary and George Merrell.
Danny served in the United States Army from 1968-1971. He was awarded the National Defense Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, 2 Overseas Bars, and Expert Qualifications Badge. He loved the outdoors and took many hunting trips with his friends and family. He enjoyed traveling, seeing new places and making new friends. His family was his pride and joy and he loved to spoil his grandchildren. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.
