Robert “Taylor” Rundel
Robert “Taylor” Rundel of Cadet, Missouri was born on Friday, November 15, 1940 in Old Mines, Missouri a son of the late, Margaret Lucille (Portell) Rundel and Loran B. Rundel. Robert departed this life on Monday, July 26, 2010 at his residence having reached the age of sixty-nine years, eight months and eleven days.
Robert “Taylor” was united in marriage to Frances Politte on March 26, 1960 in Old Mines, Missouri.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Frances Rundel of Cadet, Missouri; two daughters, Cheryl Jordan and husband, Curtis of Potosi, Missouri, Jennifer “Nickie” Coleman and fiancé, Andy Thornton of Cadet, Missouri; two sons, Kevin Rundel and wife, Sheila of Cadet, Missouri, Timmy Rundel and fiancé, Rhonda Bourbon of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters, Norma Beck of Marthasville, Missouri, Sis Duncan and Wayne McClintock of DeSoto, Missouri; four brothers, James Rundel and wife, Elaine of Festus, Missouri, Ronald Rundel and wife, Brenda of Festus, Missouri, Gary Rundel and Joyce Hummert of Union, Missouri, Danny Rundel and wife, Cindy of Kansas; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents “Taylor” was preceded in death by one sister, Betty “Peachy” Williams.
“Taylor” enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. “Taylor” enjoyed going to deer camp, playing softball and golfing. He also enjoyed picking music and singing. “Taylor” will be very deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri. Honoring “Taylor” by serving as pallbearers were: CJ Boyer, Ryan Rundel, Jason Rundel, Darryl Rundel, Scott Bamvakais, Mike Gartner, Toby Rundel, Robert Beck and honorary pallbearers, Jimmy Politte, Jerry Courtway, Ed Roy and Steve Boyer.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
