James Howard “Butch” Rutledge
James Howard “Butch” Rutledge age 54 of Highland, Ohio died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at his residence. He was born October 16, 1954 in Bonne Terre, Missouri the son of the late Joseph H. and Myrtle M. Venable Rutledge. Mr. Rutledge was and Equine teacher for the Laurel Oaks vocational school. He was a member of the U.S. Trotters Association and the Fayette County Harness Association.
He is survived by his wife Trudy Cox Rutledge, one son, Lance Rutledge of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, thee stepchildren, Stacey (Wyatt) Irvin of Highland, Misty (Greg) Bobb of Leesburg, Joshua (Tricia) Howland of Leesburg, nine step grandchildren, Alec and Griffin Irvin, Haley, Olivia and Whitney Bobb, Jadi and Jackson Howland and Logan and Landen Murphy, and one brother, Randy (Charlotte) Rutledge of Lesterville, Missouri. In addition to his parents, Butch was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Rutledge.
Services were held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8th at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg, Ohio with Pastor John Fitzgerald officiating.
Burial took place in the Highland Cemetery, Highland, Ohio.
A Memorial Visitation was held Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
