Gordon Matthew Sampson

Gordon Matthew Sampson of Potosi, Missouri was born July 27, 1963 in Potosi, a son to the late Russell Robert Sampson and Theresa Lucille (Thebeau) Sampson. Gordon departed this life Monday, June 20, 2022 having reached the age of 58 years, 10 months and 24 days.
Gordon is survived by his daughters, Ashley Kinion and husband “Benji” of Elsberry, Missouri, Jazlyn Sampson of Potosi, Missouri; life partner, Melinda Granger – Sampson; step daughter, Hannah Granger; sister, Rosemary Sansoucie and husband Dan, Connie Polite and husband Mike, Janie Lawson and husband Lonnie; brothers, Lindell Sampson and wife Joyce, Danny Sampson, Billy Sampson and wife Shelia, Joe Sampson and wife Joyce, Mark Sampson and wife Tammy, Bobby Sampson; 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Sampson, infant brother, Joseph Sampson; sisters, Ester Sampson and Geraldine Willert.
Gordon was blessed with many talents. He loved working with rocks and constructed many beautiful crosses with them. He was a skilled masonry worker and always kept a beautiful garden that was admired by everyone. He had an amazing personality and loved to joke and make people laugh and smile. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
