Lucille Sanders of Potosi, Missouri was born on October 26, 1921 in Chilton, Missouri a daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth (Roy) Pittman and Andrew Frank Pittman. Lucille departed this life on February 5, 2007 at the Potosi Manor Care Center, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-five years, three months and ten days.

Lucille is survived by three daughters, Janice O’Connell of Farmington, Missouri, Mary Larson and husband Stan of Kansas City, Missouri, Brenda Cover of Magnolia, Texas; three sons, Marvin Berry and wife Nancy of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Claude Berry and wife Brenda of Potosi, Missouri, Denver Berry and wife Trish of Warsaw, Kentucky; one brother, Donald Pittman and wife Imogene of Potosi, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Elizabeth Pittman and Andrew Pittman, one son, John Delbert Berry, two sisters, Mavis Charboneau, Violet Evans, two great grandchildren, Gavin and Eva and one great great grandchild, Abby Elizabeth.

Lucille was raised with her family in St. Louis, Missouri and spent the summers in Washington County at her grandparents farm off F Highway, it was called the “Oster Place” which joined the “Roy Farm”. Lucille worked at the shoe factory for several years.

Lucille enjoyed sewing, embroidering, crocheting afghans and canning items from her garden in her younger years. Her later hobbies included playing bingo, reading and watching gameshows on television. Lucille loved talking and spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation was held Thursday, February 8, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, February 9, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Friday, February 9, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Michael Helvey, Michael Berry, Glen Berry, Alan Ray Berry, Evan Lynn Berry and Mike Pinson.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Soules Chapel Cemetery, Ebo, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri
