Christopher W. Sansoucie
Christopher Warren Sansoucie was born Sunday October 7, 1922 in Valles Mines, Missouri to the late Minnie (Courtway) Sansoucie and Lawrence Sansoucie. Christopher had made Potosi his home for the last Forty-seven years with his wife and family. Chris departed this life at his home surrounded by the love and care of his family Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the age of Eighty-one years, Six months and Eleven days.
Christopher was united in marriage to Rema Rosalie Chazelle in Tulsa, Oklahoma and were blessed to have one daughter born to the union.
Christopher is survived by One daughter, Christina Boyer and Fiancé Bruce Fitzwater of Potosi, Missouri; Two grandchildren, Rema Lynn Boyer and husband Joshua of Potosi, Missouri and Samantha Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; One great grand son, Elijah Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; Two sisters, Sadie Ketchum of DeSoto, Missouri and Dora Backer of Arnold, Missouri; One brother, Willis Sansoucie and wife Betty of Festus, Missouri; special friend and hunting buddy, Bernard Roderick of Cadet, Missouri and by many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Chris was also preceded in death by One sister, Rose Smith; Two brothers, John Sansoucie and Earnest Sansoucie.
Chris had a great love for his family and always enjoyed the time spent with them, especially with his grandchildren. He loved to spend times in the outdoors, if it was just in the yard or out in the woods with his buddies fishing and hunting. Chris enjoyed raising a garden and working on his guns.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 21, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, April 22, 2004 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jim Wade officiating.
Final prayers and burial was in the Mount Olive Cemetery, DeSoto, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Joshua Boyer, Tony Boyer, Bud Smith, Tim Sansoucie, Doug Backer and Steve Backer.
Services were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
