Rose Mary Sansoucie
Rose Mary Sansoucie of Cadet, Missouri was born on June 16, 1927 in Arnault Branch, Missouri a daughter of the late, Hazel (Boyer) DeClue and Raymond John DeClue. Rose Mary departed this life on June 15, 2008 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Center, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty years, eleven months and thirty days.
Rose Mary was united in marriage to Melvin Francis Sansoucie on February 5, 1951 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri and this union was blessed with three daughters.
Rose Mary is survived by three daughters, Mary Maxwell of Fenton, Missouri, Joyce Portell and husband, Ronnie of Potosi, Missouri, Betty Bateman of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one brother, Joseph DeClue and wife, Delores of Potosi, Missouri; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; very good friends, Monica Pashia and Virginia and Fran Pashia; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Rose Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin Sansoucie and one brother, John DeClue.
Rose Mary enjoyed making apple butter at the St. Michael House. She loved Mother Nature and working with flowers. Rose Mary was a member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church where she enjoyed assisting with any and all aspects. She was a former member of St. Ann Sodality Society. Rose Mary made beautiful quilts, crocheting and embroidering. She was a very kind hearted woman who will be greatly missed.
Visitation was held Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, June 19, 2008 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Denny DeClue, Dale DeClue, Jimmy DeClue, Walker Portell, Mark DeClue and Bob Jost.
Final prayers and burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
