Lorene Saunders
Lorene Saunders of Farmington, MO was born December 22, 1940 in Blackwell, MO a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Vandergriff) Nash. Lorene departed this life Monday July 15, 2019 having reached the age of 78 years, 6 months, and 23 days.
Lorene is survived by four sons, Frankie Perry and wife Debra of Minnesota, Ricky Cain and wife JoAnn of Deer Park, TX, Billy Cain and wife Lou of Anniston, AL, Adam Saunders and wife Dina of Farmington, MO. Two daughters Rita Black and husband Jerry of Leadington, MO and Vickie Akers of Piedmont, MO. One sister Maudie Cain of Potosi, MO, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lorene was preceded in death by one daughter Terry Lynn Cain, Three Brothers, Leonard Nash, Ronnie Nash and Bobbie Nash, Three Sisters Leona Pickette, Deloris Sansoucie and Rhoda Eckhoff. Lorene was also preceded in death by first husband Frankie R. Cain and second husband Albert “A.J” Saunders.
Lorene enjoyed the many gifts of life. She attended church regularly and loved spending time with her family and relaxing but her greatest love of all was taking care of her grandbabies. She loved the thrill and mysteries of Sci-Fi films and gun slinging action in old western films. The outdoors brought Lorene much joy also. She enjoyed catfishing and hunting the woods to find mushrooms and picking any wild onions she came across.
Visitation was held Thursday July 18, 2019 from 4pm-8pm at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, MO. Funeral services were conducted Friday July 19, 2019 at 1pm at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, MO with Bro. Gene DeClue officiating. Burial took place at Sunset Hill cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Adam Saunders, Ricky Cain, Billy Cain, Dennis Martin, David Watkins and Jonathon Watkins. All services were in the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, MO
