Sharon Marie Boyer, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 64. She was born on June 3, 1959, in Cadet, Missouri, to the late Arthur Boyer and Arlene (Pashia) Boyer. Sharon was known for her warm smile and her unwavering positive outlook on life.
Throughout her life, Sharon cherished every moment spent with her family and embraced life's joys. Her love for her family was unmatched, and she treasured the time she spent with them. Whether it was sharing laughter around the dinner table or creating beautiful memories during family gatherings, Sharon's presence brought comfort and happiness to all.
Sharon had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed being outdoors. She found solace in spending time at the lake, where she could kayak and canoe. The beauty of nature always captivated her, and she took immense pleasure in the gifts it bestowed upon us. Her green thumb was evident in her vibrant garden of flowers that bloomed with love and care.
In addition to her love for nature, Sharon had many hobbies that brought joy into her life. She loved playing cards with friends and family - a pastime that always resulted in laughter and friendly competition. Karaoke nights were never complete without Sharon's lively performances that filled the room with energy and joy.
Dancing was another passion of Sharon's. Whenever there was music playing, she would be the first one on the dance floor, captivating everyone with her infectious enthusiasm. Her love for traveling allowed her to explore new places and create cherished memories along the way.
The impact Sharon had on those around her extended far beyond her immediate family. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of friends who became like family over the years. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sharon is survived by her loving mother, Arlene Boyer of Cadet; her cherished daughter, Andrea Ricketts, and husband Andrew of Potosi; her dear sisters, Gerri Skiles and husband Eddie of Potosi, Karen Caldwell and husband Rodney of Desoto, Christine Portell and husband Robert of Cadet, Marcia Politte and husband Rick of Cadet, and Melissa Blair and husband Danny of Potosi; her caring brothers, Danny Boyer and wife Barb of Cadet, Willy Boyer and wife Connie of Cadet, Randy Boyer and wife Karla of Saint Charles, Marty Boyer and wife Michelle Of Bonne Terre, Kevin Boyer and wife Carrie of Blackwell; sister in law, Patti Boyer Garrett of Potosi; as well as her adored grandson, Ayden Ricketts of Potosi. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whose lives were brighter because of her presence.
In addition to her father, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, William “Joe” Boyer and her brother, Richard “RK” Boyer.
The memory of Sharon will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her. Her positivity, love for life, and radiant smile will continue to inspire us through the years. Though she may no longer be physically present with us, her spirit will live on in the treasured memories we hold close.
Visitation services for Sharon will be held on October 30th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Homes. Another visitation service will take place the following day on October 31st from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location.
Funeral service will be held on October 31st at St. Joachim Catholic Church. The Mass will begin at 11:00 AM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together in remembrance and celebration of her life. Burial will follow at St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery.
During these difficult times, friends and family come together sharing stories and memories of Sharon that bring comfort and solace. In doing so, we honor the beautiful life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Joachim School/church. May her family and friends find solace in knowing that our dear Sharon is now at peace, watching over us with her everlasting love.
