Marcella Ann (Heifner) Sheppard of Potosi was born March 11, 1935, in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter to the late Delbert Heifner and Blanche (Boyer) Heifner. Marcella departed this life Sunday, December 5, 2021, having reached the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 24 days.
On June 6, 1962, Marcella was united in marriage to the late Jimmy Sheppard and they shared 59 wonderful years together.
Marcella is survived by her daughter, Tracey Sheppard and fiancé Thomas Brown of Steelville, Missouri; son, Michael Fincher and wife Karen of Wildwood, Missouri; stepchildren, Rick Sheppard and wife Betty of Lebanon, Missouri, Elizabeth Neilson and husband Louis of Salem, Missouri; stepsisters, Mary Lou Coleman of Old Mines, Terry Maxwell of Potosi, Barb Boyer of Old Mines; grandchildren, Ryan Banta, Joey Banta, Doug Carver, Dustin Carver, David Carver, Deanna Connell, Rick Sheppard, Ruben Sheppard, Joshua Sheppard, Samuel Sheppard, Billy Sheppard, Kathleen Fincher-Smith, Samuel Fincher and great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Jimmy, Marcella was preceded in death by her sons, Scott Sheppard, Jeffrey Fincher; brothers, Billy Heifner, Jim Heifner, Lilburn Heifner; sister, Nancy Heifner; stepbrothers, Bernard Price, John Price and step sister, Alice Portell.
Marcella loved with her whole heart and always took the time to help others in need. She loved painting, crocheting, crafting and decorating her home with her creations. Marcella also enjoyed baking cakes and pies for her family and friends. Her favorite meal to share with her family and friends was brown beans, cornbread, and fried potatoes. Spending time with her family was precious to her and she cherished every moment. She enjoyed doing yard work with her husband and took great pride in how her home looked. She loved unconditionally and she was truly a blessing to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
