Ashley Lynn Skaggs
Ashley Lynn Skaggs of Potosi, Missouri was born on Thursday, July 14, 1994 in Farmington, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, September 17, 2006 having reached the age of twelve years, two months and three days.
Ashley is survived by her father, Larry Skaggs of Potosi, Missouri; brother, Christopher Skaggs of Potosi, Missouri; three sisters, April Jackson of Columbia, South Carolina, Leslie Skaggs of Irondale, Missouri, Felicia Skaggs of Park Hills, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Doris Wingerter of Potosi, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Maudie Cain of Potosi, Missouri; eight nieces and nephews, special friends, Brandi Williams, Desiree Link, Rachel Patterson, Abby Golden and special cousin, Hannah Estes, and the soon to be born baby Estes. Ashley was accompanied to the Heavenly Gate with her mother, Sherry Lynn Skaggs and preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Roy Cain.
Ashley was a student at the John Evans Middle School, Potosi, Missouri where she was very proud of her perfect attendance and good grades. Ashley enjoyed school and looked forward to the new lessons she would learn everyday. Ashley loved swimming, singing and her cats, Garfield and Sassy. She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed spending time with all of her many cousins and many friends. Ashley attended the New Diggins Church, Springtown, Missouri. She was always a caring and adventurous girl, who was a blessing to all who knew her.
Visitation was held Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Kenneth Gamble officiating. Honoring Ashley by serving as pallbearers were: Christopher Skaggs, Josh Douglas, Aaron Estes, Billy Skaggs, Josh Boydonfer, James Golden and honorary pallbearer, Jacob McCloud.
Final prayers and burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
