Earnest Glenwood Smith Jr.

Glen “Sweetheart” Smith of Bismarck, Missouri was born on Thursday, July 28, 1966 in Potosi, Missouri a son of the late, Lois Marie (Petty) Smith and Earnest Glenwood Smith, Sr. Glen departed this life on Saturday, January 23, 2010 having reached the age of forty-three years, five months and twenty-six days.

Glen was united in marriage to Kimberly Skiles-Drennen on January 26, 2001 in Farmington, Missouri.

Glen is survived by his loving wife Kimberly Skiles-Drennen Smith of Bismarck, Missouri; one daughter, Catherine Skiles and fiancé, Andy Morgan of Leadwood, Missouri; two sons, Garrett Skiles of Bismarck, Missouri, Dakota Smith of Farmington, Missouri; one sister, Joyce Ketcherside and husband, David of Bismarck, Missouri; two brothers, Ralph Smith and wife, Brenda of Hopewell, Missouri, Trevor Smith and wife, Sondra of Clarksville, Tennessee; God-Son, Jackson Beers of Farmington, Missouri; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathy and James Reary of Pacific, Missouri; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Debbie and Lennus Drennen, Sr. of Mineral Point, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and many friends.

Glen or as many of his family and friends call him “Sweetheart” loved the outdoors, going fishing, hunting and spending time at deer camp. He enjoyed gardening and was very ingenious in making a dollar. Glen also enjoyed watching sports and the History Channel on television. He loved his family and friends who will miss Glen with all of their hearts.

Visitation was held Monday, January 25, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Mike Barton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Garrett Skiles, Trevor Smith, Gary Drennen, Larry Drennen, Mark Drennen, Justin Underwood, Lennus Drennen III and Adam Smith.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
