Emilie Jane Smith of Potosi, Missouri was born on Wednesday, February 25, 1942 in Farmington, Missouri a daughter of the late, Audrey Leona (Hampton) Smith and Lacy Harold Smith. Emilie departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her residence having reached the age of sixty-nine years, ten months and four days.

Emilie was united in marriage to Roy Smith on October 15, 1960 in Madison, Illinois and this union was blessed with two sons.

Emilie is survived by her dear, special and loving husband, Roy Smith of Potosi, Missouri; two sons, Craig Smith and wife, Angie of Potosi, Missouri, Clark Smith and wife, Angie of Bonne Terre, Missouri; two brothers, John Harold Smith and wife, Marleen of Arkansas, James Albert Smith of Duncan, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Micheal and Nickole; four great-grandchildren, Braden, Taylor, Noah and Addison; brother-in-law, Paul Edward LaCroix; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Emilie was preceded in death by two sisters, Cornelia LaCroix, Lacy Randolph, three brothers, William Stuart Smith and infant twin brothers, one grandson, Christopher Smith, brother-in-law, Ansil Randolph.

Emilie was a very devout member of the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri. Emilie had served as a Eucharistic minister at her parish. She was fortified with the sacraments of Holy Communion and the Anointing of the Sick.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Joe Welschmeyer officiating.

Final Prayers and Burial took place at the Bailey Cemetery, Alton, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
