Kathleen Smith Adams of Caledonia, Missouri was born on Saturday, February 3, 1917 in Chaffee, Missouri the daughter of the late Arby David “Dee” and Rilla Crump. Kathleen departed this life on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at the Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-nine years, four months and fourteen days.

Kathleen is survived by son, Gordon L. Smith, Sr. and wife Marilyn of Caledonia, Missouri; sister, Clara Bock of Columbia, Missouri; two grandchildren, Gordon Lee Smith, Jr. and wife Melissa of Fredricktown, Missouri, David Eugene Smith of Caledonia, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Chelleby Smith, Marisa Smith, Cameron Smith, Jakob Smith and Harlee Smith; special niece, Nancy Roenfeldt of Glen Cove, New York; special nephew, Richard Bock of Columbia, Missouri, two step-children, Joan Barton of Irondale, Missouri, Ralph Waller of Potosi, Missouri, also surviving are other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Arby “Dee” and Rilla Crump: first husband, Arthur Eugene “Smiley” Smith on July 21, 1964 and second husband, John C. Adams on January 20, 1988.

Kathleen enjoyed sitting for hours watching and feeding the birds. She always had an angel food cake baked for family birthday dinners. But most of all Kathleen loved her family and the time she got to spend with them.

Visitation was held Monday, June 19, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.

Burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
