Gregory Lowell Solomon was born on February 13, 1982 to Gregory Lowell Smith and Margaret Lee Solomon in Phoenix, Arizona at Phoenix Medical Center. Greg came into this world with a huge smile on his face. He was a happy energetic baby. He was always inquisitive and wanted to understand how things worked even if it meant he got in trouble for breaking something in the process. When Greg was a young boy he loved to spend time with his brothers fishing at Chollas Lake and at the crawfish pond or playing football in the street. Greg was never afraid of hard work; mowing laws on the weekend for the money to shop at the mall. The work ethic he developed at such a young age followed him throughout his life.
Greg always looked forward to his weekend trips with his big brother, Ralph. Ralph introduced Greg to the Philadelphia Eagles and the rest is history! Fly Eagle Fly!!!
Greg was a protector who loved his family. A free spirit who enjoyed dancing and making people smile. His personality was as big as his heart.
From a young age Greg knew he wanted to be a father. Finding out he was going to have a son was one of the proudest moments of his life. He loved his son MJ more than life itself. He was a patient father recognizing right away that MJ had his rambunctious energy. He loved to spend time taking afternoon naps with his son and spending hours with him in the garden.
Greg relocated to Potosi in 2018. He wanted to enjoy life in the country and that’s just what he did. Enjoying time fishing in the stream and lakes around Potosi, toiling in his garden and enjoying a cold one after a long day of work.
Greg is survived by his Mother Margaret Solomon, Father Greg Solomon, Son M. Gregory Jay Smith, sisters Alicia Plater, Angela Ector, Amanda Solomon, Ashley Solomon, Talicia Johnson, Veronica Patton, Brittney Hollins, Breauna Hollins, Brothers Jay Smith, Jordan Smith, Terrin Patton, Lex Horn, and a grand host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Loved ones, and friends.
