Diana Mary Stark
Diana Mary Stark of Potosi, Missouri was born on Thursday, January 8, 1948 in Granite City, Illinois a daughter of the late, Lucy Lizziebelle (Gibson) Skaggs and Ralph William Skaggs. Diana departed this life on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of sixty years, two months and four days.
Diana is survived by one daughter, Wendy Skaggs and husband, Troy of Potosi, Missouri; two sons, Shawn Stark of Potosi, Missouri, Yancey Stark and wife, Tammy of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Barbara Montine of Wilsonville, Illinois; one brother, Ernest Vance and wife Garnett of Imperial, Missouri; six grandchildren, Shea Stark, Tristen Skaggs, Gavin Stark, Preslie Stark, Blake Skaggs and Lily Skaggs, also her former husband Clyde Edward Stark of Doe Run, Missouri. In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Candler, two brothers, Ralph William Skaggs, Jr. and Jimmy Dale Skaggs.
Diana enjoyed volunteering at Potosi Manor Care Center in the activities department. She also enjoyed visiting with people, crocheting, embroidering and all kinds of crafts. Many will remember Diana for her enjoyment of bowling. Diana attended the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and was a substitute teacher for the public school system. She loved her family and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She loved Elvis Presley and all of his music. Diana will be lovingly missed by the many lives she has touched.
Visitation was held Friday, March 14, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Mike Jarvis and Reverend Rick Gill officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Shea Stark, Jason Candler, David Candler, Dana Saltkill, Ernest Vance, Clay Vance, Chris Montine, and Troy Skaggs.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Shirley Union Cemetery, Shirley, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
