David Kim Suiter, of Salem, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, May 4, 2021 at the Cleveland, Ohio Clinic. He was 67.
Born in Farmington, Missouri, February 15, 1954, he was a son of the late George Merlin and Elizabeth “Betty” Suiter DeClue. He moved to this area 20 years ago and worked as a truck driver. Previously, he worked construction for Stevens Painton Corporation and once owned and operated Payless Muffler Shop in St. Clair, Missouri.
A Vietnam War Veteran, he served with the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1976. Catholic by faith, he was a member of the Fellowship of the Beloved in Hanoverton. David enjoyed fishing and loved his dogs, especially his “truck buddy” Jose.
He is survived by his wife, Danielle C. Bowersock Suiter, at home. The couple married November 22, 2004. He is also survived by two sisters, Sharon Falloon and her husband, Allen, and Julie DeClue Schwartze, all of Villa Ridge, Missouri, as well as two nieces, Sarah Brown and Christina Brown and a nephew, KrisTodahl.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Gregory DeClue, and a nephew, Donald L. “DJ” Todahl.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Richwoods.
