Terry passed away in St. Louis, Missouri on January 28th, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on December 9th, 1949, to his parents, Howard, and Selma (Hoffmeister) Gamble in Fletcher, Missouri. Terry resided in Cadet, Missouri with his beloved wife of 24 years, Lisa (Saunders) Gamble, whom survives.
Besides his wife, he leaves his surviving three daughters, Terri Kay (Gamble) Mendoza and husband Micheal of Texas, April Gamble of Desoto, Taffy Jo (Gamble) Cole of O’Fallon, Missouri; ex-wife and mother of his children, Beverly (Emily) Pinckard of Desoto, Missouri; step sons, Joshua Dale Trokey, Jason Fehr; brother, Harry wife Donna Gamble and sister Dana (Gamble) Essmyer, grandchildren Cheyenne Muniz, Melanie Ann Brown, Alexis Gamble, Jason M. Brown, Natasha Munis and Benjamin Cole.
Terry is proceeded in death by his infant daughter Melanie L. Gamble (daughter with Beverly); his parents, Howard and Selma (Hoffmeister) Gamble; sisters, Kathie (Gamble) Thrapp, and Linda (Gamble) Bailey; brothers, Randy F. Gamble (wife Sandy who is surviving), Gary Gamble, and Kevin Gamble; Brother- in- laws, Norman Thrapp, Ronnie Bailey, Sparky Essmyer, and nephew Christopher Gamble, son of Harry and Donna Gamble.
Terry earned rank of staff sergeant (SSGT) in the U.S. Army (II Bravo Infantry). He served in Vietnam, stationed in Long Binhr, Saigon and went to Cambodia. Terry was honored with the Bronze Star medal, along with many other medals. After completing tour in Vietnam, Terry got out of the army, but a few years later, reenlisted. He took his family and proudly completed a 20-year career. He saw and was stationed in several places, Germany, Ft. Hood, Texas, Oahu, Hawaii, Korea, and Fort. Lewis, Washington. He saw time in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. After retiring from the Army, he worked at the Potosi Correctional center and later retired from there also.
Terry loved to do wood-working in his younger years when he was still able, he loved the outdoors and reading Louis La’ Mour westerns. Terry will be sadly missed by family and friends.
