Betty Thebeau of Cadet, Missouri was born on Friday, March 9, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late, Cecilia Julia Boyer and Leo William Boyer. Betty departed this life on Saturday, June 1, 2013 having reached the age of sixty-eight years, two months and twenty-three days.
Betty was united in marriage to James “Blue” Thebeau on May 21, 1966 in Old Mines, Missouri and were blessed with two daughters.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Brenda Ann Pilny and husband, Richard of Bonne Terre, Missouri; Linda Jean Sampson and Eric Sarakas of Bonne Terre, Missouri; special friend, Roy Shifflett of Dittmer, Missouri; six grandchildren, Megan LaRue, Macey LaRue, Dalton LaRue, Trevor Sampson, Brady Sampson and Jacob Sampson; two sisters, Annette Goff and friend, James Pruitt of Cadet, Missouri; Linda Kincaid and husband, Gary of Cadet, Missouri; two brothers, Kenneth Boyer and wife, Sharon of Cadet, Missouri, Wayne Boyer and wife, Joyce of Cadet, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Bob Hochstatter of Cadet, Missouri, Russell Thebeau and wife, Ann of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Mildred Bourisaw of Farmington, Missouri, Norma Jean Coleman and husband, Vincent of Potosi, Missouri, Rita Thebeau of Old Mines, Missouri, also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Blue” Thebeau, one sister, Joan Hochstatter, two brothers, Vincent Leo Boyer, Richard Leon Boyer, mother and father-in-law, Alice and Nicholas Thebeau.
One of Betty’s favorite things was riding around with her family and friends enjoying the beautiful sites. She also enjoyed playing lottery scratch offs and card games. Betty loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and spend time with her grandchildren. She will be forever remembered for the love and laughter she shared.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
