Kathy Thompson (Courtois)

Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Thompson of Potosi, Missouri was born February 2, 1951 in Cadet, Missouri a daughter to the late Bernard Joseph Courtois and Helen Lee (Boyer) Courtois. Kathy departed this life Saturday, July 18, 2020 having reached the age of 69 years, 5 months and 16 days.
On May 31, 1969, Kathy was united in marriage to Darrell Thompson and they were blessed with fifty-one years and many wonderful memories together.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Darrell Thompson; daughter, Kim Bequette and husband Darryl of Potosi, Missouri; son, Jason Thompson and wife Tammy of Potosi, Missouri; sister, Billie Courtois of St. Louis, Missouri; in-laws, Gary (Francine) Thompson of Sullivan, Missouri, Donald (Jamie) Thompson of Potosi, Missouri; six grandchildren: Andrew, Luke, Alli, Westin, Abbie, Lauren; one great granddaughter, Maisie and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Ric Courtois.
Kathy was kind and caring, always having others in her thoughts and prayers. She worked for 33 years at B&R Package and as the director of the parish school of religion for St. James Catholic Church, she loved to see children grow in their faith. Her family was her rock and being a mom and “Nana” was her greatest joy. Her memory will be treasured by all.
