Cecelia F. Trokey
Cecelia Trokey of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on Wednesday, March 26, 1924 in Fountain Farm, Missouri a daughter of the late, Mary Louise (Politte) Trokey and Lawrence Trokey. Cecelia departed this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the SSM St. Clare Health Center, Fenton, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-six years, one month and nine days.
Cecelia was united in marriage to Perry Vincent Trokey on November 12, 1942 in Old Mines, Missouri.
Cecelia is survived by five daughters, Elizabeth Carol Vuichard and husband, John of Bismarck, Missouri, Brenda Ann DeClue and husband, Earl of South St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara Norton and husband, Richard of Desloge, Missouri, Marilyn Trokey of Mineral Point, Missouri, Iris McGee and husband, Bobby of Leadwood, Missouri; four sons, Vincent Trokey and wife, Gerry of Mineral Point, Missouri, Paul Trokey of Mineral Point, Missouri, Donald Trokey and wife, Vanessa of Farmington, Missouri, Michael Trokey of Mineral Point, Missouri; one sister, Margie Aubuchon of Potosi, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; also surviving are nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Vincent Trokey, two daughters, Mary Agnes Trokey and an infant girl, one son, Perry James Trokey, two sisters, Mary Catherine Redd, Thersia Ambuehl, three brothers, Bernis Trokey, Donald Trokey, Linneus Trokey and one grandchild.
Cecelia enjoyed attending the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri and saying the Rosary. She cared for many people in their homes for many years. Cecelia’s favorite season was Fall; she enjoyed all the beautiful colors and changes of Mother Nature. Reading, cooking and working in her flower garden were some of her favorite things to do. Cecelia loved her family and friends who will all remember her for the love she shared.
Visitation was held Friday, May 7, 2010 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 5:00 PM with Reverend Joe Welschmeyer officiating. Visitation also Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the St. James Catholic Church with Reverend Joe Welschmeyer officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Brian DeClue, Nathan Trokey, Shane Trokey, Vincent Trokey, Jr., Keith Smith, John Vuichard, Bob McGee and Seth Trokey.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
