Stella Turney of Irondale, Missouri was born on Friday, July 12, 1918 in Pennsylvania to the late, Antoniate and Anthony Forman. Stella departed this life on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Southbrook Nursing Center, Farmington, Missouri having reached the age of ninety-two years, seven months and four days.
Stella was united in marriage to Charles Turney on July 11, 1955 in St. Charles, Missouri.
Stella is survived by one daughter, Peggy Mills of Irondale, Missouri; one stepson, Bill Turney and wife, Sue of Union, Missouri; two grandchildren, Alisha DeClue and Jim Dye of Irondale, Missouri, Ryan Thomas and Cassandra Mills of Irondale, Missouri; one great-grandson, Aiden. In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Turney, one sister, Genive Virlening, three brothers, Bernard Forman, Tony Forman, Pete Forman and son-in-law, Thomas Mills.
Stella attended St. James Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, she loved to read catholic books and praying the Rosary. She enjoyed sewing and spending time outdoors gardening flowers with roses being her favorite. Stella loved spending time with her family who will greatly miss her loving smile.
Visitation was held Friday, February 18, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Irondale, Missouri with Father Mark Ebert officiating.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction to the Moore Funeral Homes, 104 Oak Street, Irondale, Missouri.
