William Tyra, Jr. of Cadet, Missouri was born on Tuesday, December 10, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at his residence having reached the age of sixty-four years, nine months and twenty-six days.
William is survived by two daughters, Tina Harper of Steelville, Missouri, Diana Thompson of Fenton, Missouri; two sons, Fred Harper and wife, Lana of Belleville, Illinois, Jeff Harper and wife, Marsha of Cadet, Missouri; one sister, Ann Marie of Florida; twelve grandchildren, including special granddaughters, Renee Isgriggs of Cadet, Missouri, Samantha Harper of St. Louis, Missouri and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Maureen (Goff) Tyra and one sister, Judith Lyons.
William enjoyed reading the St. Louis Post Dispatch, soduka puzzles, doing puzzle books, computer puzzles and watching all sports. He loved visitors and playing cards, with his favorite games being Shanghai Rummy and thirteen. William also enjoyed eating bologna and Brooks Catsup. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, October 10, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
