Mackie Fred Valley of Potosi, Missouri was born on Wednesday, November 26, 1947 in Potosi, Missouri a son of the late, Edna (Quillman) Valley and Fred Valley. Mackie departed this life on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of sixty-years, one month and eleven days.

Mackie is survived by one daughter, Karen Strange and husband, Robbie of Potosi, Missouri; one son, Aaron Valley and wife, Violet of Japan; two sisters, Lena Womble of Potosi, Missouri, Mary Ann Emily and husband, Herb of Mineral Point, Missouri; two brothers, Carl Curtis Valley and wife, Rose of Springtown, Missouri, John Valley of Springtown, Missouri; three grandchildren, Sebastian Valley, Mena Valley and Jacob Strange; niece, Ronda Nelson and husband, Terry of Potosi, Missouri; great niece and nephew, Joanie Grime and Eric Broombaugh; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Mackie was preceded in death by one infant brother, George Dale Valley, two sisters, Viola Callahan and Charlotte Henry.

Mackie loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed Mother Nature, fishing and camping and his favorite bird was the eagle. He also enjoyed eating good meals and watching western and action movies. Mackie will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A Graveside Service was held Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Bill Warren officiating.

Burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
